French Casement
This is the French part, the meeting stile, you see it here from the top view. I don't know of any one else making windows like this. The sash work together in a left and right or male/female sort of way. Together with cremone hardware they work as an elegant pair. When open, the window is just that, there is no mullion or member between the sash. We've restored large versions of these at Meridian House and the Egyptian Ambassador's residence, and as well studied their action at Versailles. Things often get lost in a rush to efficiency, good things are forgotten. We've perfected our version of this classic joint and use it at balcony doors as well.
