This is the lock we use at 90% of our restorations. It is simple, durable and effective. This window is 120 years old, however the lock was made in the present day. It has been tumbled with vibration and abrasives. The lovely toned luster took about 36 hours from a highly polished and lacquered piece. This process is not a coating and does not rub off. It will of course polish where rubbed and used. The slotted screws are a nice touch. The lock looks perfectly at home on this window.
These are pintle hinges for a Chevy Chase carriage house. Only by doing all this in house is work like this feasible financially. When there is no bib solicitation, informational faxes or shop drawings circulated things can be done more efficiently.
Interesting window weights.
